BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Brandon Hill threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Eric Sumlin with 12 seconds left to lift Monmouth over Lehigh 28-21 on Saturday.

Monmouth (3-1) drove 74 yards on 10 plays as time was expiring. Hill finished with 390 yards and three TDs on 33-of-44 passing.

Hill's 59-yard touchdown pass to Neal Sterling on the opening drive started the scoring. Lehigh (0-4) answered with a 7-play, 78 yard drive and Nick Shafnisky's 33-yard scoring pass to Stefan Sansone.

Shafnisky's 4-yard TD run in the second put Lehigh up temporarily, but Monmouth tied it at 14 just before the half via Lavon Chaney's 7-yard scoring run.

In the third, an interception by Olivier Rigaud set up Lehigh with a short field. Three plays later, Rich Sodeke carried from six yards to put the Mountain Hawks back up, but Hill's 4-yard toss to Chaney tied it again at 21 moments later.
