MONTREAL (AP) — Alex Galchenyuk scored at 3:28 of overtime to give the Montreal Canadiens a 3-2 exhibition victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.

Galchenyuk stickhandled around Tyson Barrie and beat goalie Reto Berra with a quick shot just after a power play ended. Max Pacioretty and P.K. Subban also scored for Montreal (2-0-0).

Barrie and Gabriel Landeskog scored for Colorado (0-2-1).

The teams will meet again Friday night in Quebec City.

Carey Price allowed two goals on 10 shots before giving way to Peter Budaj halfway through the second period. Budaj stopped all 17 shots he faced.

Berra made 33 saves for Colorado.
