GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AP) — Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy will face each other as part of the Ryder Cup opening matches tomorrow. Mickelson will team with Keegan Bradley for the U.S. against McIlroy and Sergio Garcia for Europe in one of four morning fourball matches.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Team Penske has signed Joey Logano to a multi-year contract extension after the best season of his NASCAR career. Logano will continue to drive in the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. Logano has four Sprint Cup wins this season that made him a contender in the Chase for the Cup.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota right guard Brandon Fusco will need about four months to recover from his surgery on Monday for his torn pectoral muscle. Fusco was injured during the Vikings' loss to New Orleans Sunday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Chiefs coach Andy Reid expects star running back Jamaal Charles to be ready for Monday night's game against New England. The star running back returned to practice today after missing last week's game against the Dolphins with a high ankle sprain.

UNDATED (AP) — The IOC will require future Olympic host cities to abide by rules that forbid any kind of discrimination, a move prompted by Russia's adoption of a law banning so-called gay "propaganda" before the Sochi Winter Games. The International Olympic Committee sent a letter to the three candidates for the 2022 Winter Games specifying that the host city contract will include new wording on non-discrimination.
