ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers have reinstated outfielder Jim Adduci from the disabled list after he missed 3 1/2 weeks because of a concussion.

Adduci was not in the starting lineup Tuesday night against Houston but was available to play after being taken off the 15-day disabled list.

Adduci was hurt Aug. 28 at Houston and left that game after hitting his head on the warning track and side wall while making a catch in foul territory.

After initially being placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list Aug. 29, he was automatically transferred to the 15-day DL on Sept. 13 after a 14-day period of inactivity.
