WACO, Texas (AP) — Seventh-ranked Baylor expects to get top receiver Antwan Goodley and some other injured players back for its Big 12 Conference opener.
Coach Art Briles said Monday that he expects that Goodley, receiver Corey Coleman and running back Devin Chafin "will be in the mix" when the Bears (3-0) play at Iowa State on Saturday night. All worked out during last week's open date.
Goodley had 67 catches for 1,319 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He only played the first quarter of the season opener Aug. 31 before re-aggravating a tight right quad.
Coleman (hamstring) hasn't played this season while Chafin missed the last two games with an ankle injury.
Senior receiver Clay Fuller, who broke his collarbone early in preseason practice, could also make his season debut.
