ST. LOUIS (AP) — Austin Davis is getting his second straight start at quarterback for the St. Louis Rams.
Shaun Hill is active for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys and is the backup, recuperating from a left quadriceps injury. The Rams have a bye next week.
The pre-game announcement got a big cheer from the fans.
The Cowboys will be without their top two tacklers. Middle linebacker Rolando McClain (groin) had been questionable and linebacker Justin Durant (groin) is out for the second straight week.
Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin (knee) is out after being questionable. Former West Virginia teammate Stedman Bailey was expected to fill that void after the new drug policy agreement wiped out the last two weeks of his suspension.
Hill has been limited in practice with a left quadriceps injury.
