TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Logan Woodside threw for 152 yards with a touchdown and rushed for two more scores as Toledo defeated Ball State 34-23 in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams on Saturday night.

A 26-yard scoring pass from Woodside to Alonzo Russell made it 27-9 in the third. Damion Jones-Moore's 7-yard run capped a 14-play, 72-yard drive with 10:19 left.

Hunt finished with 142 yards on 12 carries in the first half before leaving with an undisclosed injury.
