GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Kwashaun Quick threw three touchdown passes and ran for one and North Carolina A&T ran away from Chowan 59-0 on Saturday.
NC A&T (3-1) intercepted Chowan's Dain McFarland five times and forced two fumbles, one recovered for a touchdown.
The Aggies jumped to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter on Cody Jones' 24-yard field goal and Tarik Cohen's 4-yard touchdown scamper, which followed a nine-play, 63-yard drive.
NC A&T exploded in the second. Quick ran for a score from 12 yards out and threw two TDs — a 55-yard connection with Xavier Griffin and a 22-yard strike to Anthony McMinn. Cohen scored his second and third of the day on 11- and 7-yard runs, and Quick found Desmond Lawrence for a 15-yard score to complete the 42-point quarter to lead 52-10 at half.
NC A&T recovered a fumble for a touchdown in the fourth on an errant swing pass.
