ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Santa Anita will add two extra racing dates to its upcoming fall meet, which begins on Sept. 26.
Track officials say the meet was extended to 25 racing days because of strong horse inventory and increased demand.
The added dates are Oct. 16 and Oct. 29, which will give Santa Anita a five-day racing week leading to the Breeders' Cup world championships on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
The meet ends Nov. 2.
