NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys will start rookie Anthony Hitchens at linebacker in place of Justin Durant against the Tennessee Titans with an injured groin muscle.

The Cowboys already had declared Durant out for Sunday's game at Tennessee. They announced Sunday that the fourth-round draft pick out of Iowa will start for Durant.

Dallas also deactivated defensive ends Anthony Spencer and Lavar Edwards (knees), defensive tackle Ken Bishop, offensive tackles Donald Hawkins and Darrion Weems and quarterback Dustin Vaughan.

The Titans will start Zaviar Gooden at linebacker for Zach Brown who tore a pectoral muscle in the opening win over Kansas City and has yet to be placed on injured reserve. They also deactivated quarterback Zach Mettenberger, receivers T.J. Durham and Kris Durham and cornerback Brandon Harris.
