NEW ORLEANS (AP) — University of New Orleans special education professor Linda Flynn-Wilson has been awarded a 5-year, $1.2 million grant from the Department of Education to train educators to work with young children with disabilities.
Flynn-Wilson will train professionals to be credentialed to work with infants, toddlers and preschoolers with disabilities and their families.
Flynn-Wilson is chairwoman of the university's department of special education and habilitative services and coordinator of its early intervention program.
Her research focuses on families who have young children with disabilities.
