(KSL News) -- A historic military site in Utah is about to get updated.
Ground was broken today on the first phase of a renovation and expansion project at Fort Douglas Museum.
Senator Bob Bennett and Congressman Jim Matheson were among the political and military leaders who attended the ceremony.
When it is finished the expansion will add about 10-thousand square feet and more exhibits on the history of the fort and the military.
The first phase is expected to be finished in February.
