CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Legislature has approved an unprecedented package of incentives to bring Tesla Motors' $5 billion battery factory to the state. Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval signed the package of tax credits and other incentives worth up to $1.3 billion late last night. The electric car maker's factory is expected to produce up to 22,000 jobs and inject up to $100 billion in Nevada's economy over the next 20 years.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 64-year-old woman has been released after spending more than 30 years in prison for a Nevada killing she says she didn't commit. A judge granted Cathy Woods a new trial after new DNA evidence raised serious questions about Woods' murder conviction in the 1976 slaying of Michelle Mitchell. Authorities say the evidence links an Oregon prison inmate to the crime scene.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Assessment teams tallied 139 flood-damaged homes and put the projected the cost of local road repairs at $667,000 in northeast Clark County, where road crews are working to reopen a washed-out stretch of Interstate 15 about 50 miles north of Las Vegas. A Nevada Department of Transportation official says crews may have the washed-out section of I-15 near Moapa repaired enough to open one lane in each direction later today.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who was killed after shots were fired into a Las Vegas apartment earlier this week. Clark County coroner's officials say 23-year-old Las Vegas resident Derrell Carr died at the scene of gunshot wounds.
