ATLANTA (AP) — Another American infected with Ebola while working in West Africa is on the way to Atlanta for treatment.
Officials at Emory University Hospital said the patient is expected to arrive Tuesday morning and will be housed in the hospital's isolation unit.
Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. James Wilson said the patient would be flown into Dobbins Air Reserve Base outside Atlanta.
The hospital released no additional information on the patient.
The World Health Organization, however, says a doctor who has been working in an Ebola treatment center in Sierra Leone has tested positive for the disease. It said the doctor was in Freetown and was being evacuated.
Two aid workers who contracted Ebola in Liberia were treated successfully last month at Emory. Another worker is also being treated in Nebraska.
