NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Mets have activated Vic Black from the 15-day disabled list and recalled fellow right-hander Gonzalez Germen from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Both relievers are available for Monday night's game against the Colorado Rockies.
Black was placed on the disabled list Aug. 28 with a herniated disc in his neck. He most recently threw a bullpen session on Saturday and had no ill effects.
Black has made 39 appearances out of the Mets bullpen this season, going 2-3 with a 2.20 ERA. He has 31 strikeouts in 32 2-3 innings.
Germen has not recorded a decision in 22 relief appearances with the Mets this season. He has allowed 28 hits — seven home runs — and 12 walks over 27 1-3 innings. He has a 5.27 ERA.
