PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III is inactive for the team's season opener at Philadelphia.

Coach Gus Bradley downgraded Shorts from questionable to out Saturday, shortly before the team departed for Philadelphia. The team's leading receiver the past two seasons, Shorts didn't even make the trip.

Second-round draft pick Marqise Lee and undrafted rookie Allen Hurns start at wideout.

Shorts was held out of practice Thursday and Friday after feeling tightness in his left hamstring.

Eagles running back Chris Polk (hamstring) and quarterback Matt Barkley are inactive. With Polk out, the Eagles are going with only LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles at running back. Mark Sanchez will back up starting QB Nick Foles.
