DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Alexis Tangier returned to the turf after losing three races on main tracks and won the $77,000 feature for 3-year-old fillies by 2½ lengths at Del Mar on Wednesday.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Alexis Tangier ran one mile in 1:35.34 and paid $6.80, $4.20 and $3 as the 2-1 favorite.

Disregarded returned $5.40 and $3.80, while Kukaluka was another half-length back in third and paid $3 to show.

Alexis Tangier finished second and fifth in two races on dirt at Santa Anita. She won her first race when switched to the turf, and most recently finished fifth on Del Mar's synthetic surface last month.

Keith Desormeaux teamed with his brother, Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux, to earn the 500th victory of his training career in the sixth race with Texas Red.
