EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway has been bothered a sore right wrist, prompting coach Mike Zimmer to limit him in practice.

Greenway was given extra rest Wednesday. Zimmer said the ninth-year veteran had an MRI and X-rays that showed no serious problem.

But despite playing all 16 games for the seventh straight season in 2013, Greenway sprained that wrist and later broke it in two places. That's why the Vikings are being cautious with this situation.

Running back Adrian Peterson missed practice Wednesday due to an unspecified personal matter.

Linebacker Gerald Hodges (knee) and cornerback Jabari Price (arm) have also been out this week and won't play Saturday at Kansas City. Nose tackle Linval Joseph (calf) has not yet been cleared to return.
