OMAHA- Back to back home runs gave Omaha an early lead and the Storm Chasers never looked back in a 7-4 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night. With two runners on base, Carlos Peguero drilled an 0-1 pitch from Salt Lake starter Caleb Clay over the center field wall to give Omaha a 3-0 lead. On the very next pitch from Clay, Francisco Pena launched one over the left field berm to make it 4-0.

Bees pitcher Caleb Clay (3-4) took the loss, as he went just three innings and allowed six runs on six hits, including three home runs.

Down 7-2, the Bees tried to put together their second straight ninth inning comeback, as Luis Jimenez and C.J. Cron led off with back to back singles. With one out, Ryan Wheeler and Roberto Lopez delivered consecutive RBI singles to make it 7-4 and bring the potential tying run to the plate, but Vance Albitz fouled out and Tony Campana struck out to end the game. Clay (3-4) took the loss, as he went just three innings and allowed six runs on six hits, including three home runs. Lopez and J.B. Shuck each had two hits and one run batted in, as the Bees and Omaha split the four game series.
