SEATTLE (AP) — A massive, dramatic dust storm more often associated with the Southwest blew through Eastern Washington and north Idaho last evening in advance of thunderstorms, lightning and rain. The National Weather Service says winds of 40 to 50 mph kicked up a wall of dust in advance of the thunderstorms as the weather front moved up through Eastern Washington and western Idaho and kept heading north.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — A search is underway for a 22-year-old Georgia man who was swept down a dangerous river in Yellowstone National Park. The National Park Service says Darien Latty was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Yellowstone River on the north side of the park. It says Latty was among three park concession employees who were floating the Lamar River with inner tubes. Floating the Lamar River is prohibited.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A new report says Idaho's employee health insurance plans are comparable to the federal government's most expensive option offered under the Affordable Care Act and better than what most private companies provide. The report from the Pew Charitable Trusts says Idaho covers 93 percent of all medical costs for state employees.

ABERDEEN, Idaho (AP) -- The J.R. Simplot Company has delayed the closure of two potato processing plants in Idaho. A spokesman told the Capital Press newspaper that layoffs at the Aberdeen plant are now expected to happen in September, and the Nampa plant will likely close Oct. 31. A new facility is opening in Caldwell.
