SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — The Basketball Hall of Fame will have its 2014 induction ceremonies tonight in Springfield, Massachusetts. Among those being inducted are former NBA commissioner David Stern, former college basketball coaches Gary Williams and Nolan Richardson and NBA stars Mitch Richmond, Guy Rodgers and Alonzo Mourning.

LOUISVILLE. Ky. (AP) — Rory McIlroy starts round three of the PGA Championship with a one-shot lead. The winner of the British Open last month is looking for his fourth major championship. Australia's Jason Day and veteran Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ihk) start play tied for second.

BELMONT, Mich. (AP) — Inbee Park has a one-shot lead entering today's third round of the LPGA's Meijer (MAY'-ur) Classic in Belmont, Michigan. Suzann Pettersen is in second place after a course-record tying 64 yesterday.

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Yankees have placed catcher Brian McCann on the seven-day concussion list. He was hit in the facemask by a foul ball last night against Cleveland. The Yankees have also given second baseman Brian Roberts his unconditional release.

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (AP) — NASCAR is in New York state this weekend for a stop at Watkins Glen. Qualifying for tomorrow's race is taking place today. Jeff Gordon continues to be the overall leader, by 17 points over Dale Earnhardt Jr.
