DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Living The Life rallied to win the $80,000 BOMA San Diego Purse by 1 1/2 lengths Thursday in her U.S. debut at Del Mar.
Ridden by Hall of Famer Mike Smith, Living The Life ran six furlongs on Polytrack in 1:09.72 and paid $12, $5.80 and $3.60.
Clearly Confused returned $6.60 and $3.80, while 5-2 favorite Hail Mary was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $3 to show.
Living The Life, a 4-year-old Ireland-bred, had five wins in 19 starts in England before coming to the U.S. barn of trainer Gary Mandella.
