This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

It's inspiring to see a business thrive after being affected by 9/11. International company Internexus, a global education network with an intensive English as a Second Language Program, faced serious challenges after this period, but has rebuilt their company and is now stronger than ever, according to company president and co-founder Rob Brown.

Students come from all around the world to participate with Internexus' global education program. The company is a network of English language schools in the U.S. and London focused on helping students broaden their view of the world through educational experiences and courses. One of their biggest supporters is Saudi Arabia because the culture in Utah most closely matches theirs. However, they also have students from around 20 other countries. The program is set up so students have conditional acceptance to certain universities including Dixie State College, the University of Indianapolis or Westminster College.

The mission that drives Rob Brown and marketing director Denny De Lima is fostering world citizenship. That's why they bring students from around the world to Salt Lake City to live anywhere from six months to a year with the option to live with a host family. What separates them from the pack is the fact their students can be embedded in a local family setting, so they get a full taste of American culture and experience. This also helps alleviate some of the natural culture shock and speeds up the educational process as they observe the American way of life and practice their English.

Internexus based their company international outreach. Not only are they back in business again, they were most recently chosen as Best of State and, last year, Best of Salt Lake City. Their English as a Second Language Program, launched in 1982, is on a roll and is fully accredited through a national agency.

Internexus is unique in their mission of fostering world citizenship through educational experiences, so it's more than teaching language. Internexus also gives students volunteer opportunities like gathering enough food to feed 3,200 families for a day.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
