HOUSTON (AP) — The Seattle Mariners have recalled right-hander Taijuan Walker from Triple-A Tacoma to start Monday night against the Houston Astros in his season debut.

The 21-year-old Walker has been on the disabled list since March 29 with a right shoulder impingement. He made six starts for Tacoma, throwing a four-hitter in his last start on June 24 in a 2-0 win over Houston's Triple-A team, Oklahoma City.

Walker, a top prospect, made his major league debut on Aug. 30 in Houston. He allowed one unearned run in five innings for the win.

Outfielder Stefan Romero was optioned to Tacoma on Sunday to make room for Walker on the roster. He hit .196 with three homers and 11 RBIs in 51 games for Seattle.
