MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) — Southern Arkansas University softball coach Corey Lyon has resigned to take the head coaching position at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

SAU athletic director Steve Browning announced the move Friday.

Lyon spent three years as SAU softball coach and compiled an overall record of 90-89 — including a 37-26 record this past season as SAU won the Great American Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA regional tournament.
