TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Raptors selected San Diego State senior guard Xavier Thames with the No. 59 overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft, then traded his draft rights to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Raptors traded Thames to the Nets for cash considerations.

Thames, who transferred from Washington State after his freshman year, is coming off a career season with the Aztecs. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder averaged a team-leading 17.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.6 steals, earning him Mountain West player of the year honors. He was also named an AP All-American.

The Raptors selected 18-year-old Brazilian Bruno Cibolo at No. 20 and Connecticut forward Deandre Daniels at No. 37.
