LOS ANGELES (AP) — Third baseman Juan Uribe has been reinstated from the disabled list by the Los Angeles Dodgers after missing 34 games with a right hamstring strain.

Uribe batted sixth against Adam Wainwright on Thursday night in the opener of a four-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 12-year veteran came in batting .303 with four home runs and 18 RBIs in 40 games. The Dodgers were 20-14 in his absence, with Justin Turner, Chone Figgins, Jamie Romak and rookie Miguel Rojas filling in at the hot corner.

Rookie infielder Carlos Triunfel was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque after playing in seven games and going 2 for 7 with his first major league homer.
