PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns selected point guard Tyler Ennis of Syracuse with the 18th pick in Thursday night's draft.
The selection came even though the Suns have a dynamic point guard duo in Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe, though, is about to become a restricted free agent and will be due a big contract.
The 19-year-old Ennis played just one season at Syracuse, averaging 12.9 points and 5.5 assists per game.
Ennis, at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, he ranked third in the nation with a 3.60 assist to turnover ratio.
