LOS ANGELES (AP) — Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike each had 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Seattle Storm 65-57 on Tuesday.

Parker equaled a season-high with seven assists and Armintie Herrington scored eight points for the Sparks (5-8), who held the Storm (6-10) to a season low in points, including just 10 in the fourth quarter.

Temeka Johnson led Seattle with 11 points and Jenna O'Hea and Noelle Quinn each had nine. Seattle pulled to 55-50 on Camille Little's basket in the paint with six minutes left but the Storm made only two field goals the rest of the way.

Ogwumike made four free throws and Parker a layup off Alana Beard's steal to put the game away late. The Sparks won despite a scoreless game from third-leading scorer Beard, who went 0-for-7 from the field.

MYSTICS 81, STARS 70

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Tierra Ruffin-Pratt had 16 points and Ivory Latta 14 points, helping the Mystics snap a four-game skid with a victory over the Stars.

Emma Meesseman had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Stefanie Dolson scored all 10 of her points in the fourth quarter to help Washington (6-9) hold off San Antonio (7-7).

Stars rookie Kayla McBride scored 17 points, Danielle Robinson added 16 points, Danielle Adams had 12 and Sophia Young-Malcolm 11.

Washington shot 50 percent from the field, leading by as many as 13 points behind a strong frontcourt.

After twice making her way into the paint for short jumpers, Dolson sank an 18-foot jumper over Danielle Adams in a personal 10-0 run that put Washington up 73-64 with 4 minutes left.
