RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Five teams are chasing two places in the knockout stage of the World Cup on Tuesday. Here are the basic permutations:

GROUP D Italy vs Uruguay: Italy only needs a draw to advance, while Uruguay must win to go through.

Costa Rica vs. England: The Costa Ricans have already qualified for the last 16, while England cannot advance.

GROUP C

Japan vs. Colombia: Colombia has already qualified. Japan must win, with its qualifying chances then depending on what happens to Ivory Coast in its game with Greece. The detailed permutations are numerous based on goal differential.

Greece vs. Ivory Coast: A win will qualify Ivory Coast, a draw or even a defeat would be enough, depending on the outcome of Japan's game against Colombia. Again, there are a host of different permutations.

Colombia leads the group with six points, followed by Ivory Coast on three, with Japan and last-place Greece on one each.
