MILLCREEK CANYON — A woman became stranded while hiking with her dog in Millcreek Canyon Monday, police said.
The 62-year-old woman went the wrong way on her hike back down and found herself in a rocky area, according to Unified police Lt. Justin Hoyal. He said she couldn't find her way down, so search and rescue teams responded and walked with her.
The woman told police that her dog had heat exhaustion and she couldn't find him.
Hoyal said the woman was off the mountain at about 6 p.m. She was uninjured and left with her husband.
