LAS VEGAS (AP) — Crews are working to repair pavement after a water main broke and flooded the newly opened LINQ outdoor mall on the Las Vegas Strip.
The break happened at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, and sent several inches of brownish water through the new shopping center. Caesars Entertainment declined to comment on who was liable.
Several tenants closed early, although LINQ spokeswoman Debbie Munch says all businesses except for the Blvd. Cocktail Company piano bar had reopened by Monday afternoon.
Munch says guests are being guided to sidewalks near the stores while crews repair the streetscape in the middle of the pedestrian mall. Repairs are expected to finish within two weeks.
The LINQ opened earlier this year and is anchored by the High Roller, which is the world's tallest observation wheel.
