GRAMBLING, La. (AP) — The University of Louisiana System board will be asked to approve the appointment of Cynthia Warrick as interim president of Grambling State University when it meets on July 1.
System President Sandra Woodley tells The News-Star (http://tnsne.ws/1pGBPmk ) Warrick has the skills to keep education on track at the university during a search for a permanent leader for Grambling State.
In the 2012-13 academic year, Warrick served as interim president at South Carolina State University.
A pharmacist by trade, she serves as senior fellow for the Center for Minority Health Services Research at Howard University's College of Pharmacy.
She also has served in academic or management roles at Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina, Florida A&M University and the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston.
