TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) — A public service for Emilio Hoffman has been scheduled for Sunday, June 22.

The 14-year-old freshman from Reynolds High School in Troutdale was fatally shot by a classmate Tuesday morning while in the locker room. Police say the 15-year-old shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot after being confronted by officers.

The service will start at 4 p.m. and will be held at Good Shepherd Community Church in Boring.

Hoffman was an avid soccer fan and player who wore No. 29 for the high school team. His older brother wore the jersey when he walked across the stage at Thursday's graduation ceremony.
