BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A federal judge issued a ruling Wednesday barring Idaho from removing tents used by Occupy Boise protesters on state grounds. The judge released the decision one day after listening to oral arguments that the around-the-clock tent ban violated the group's First Amendment rights The court had already found that Idaho lawmakers passed seven unconstitutional rules restricting the protesters from camping on state-owned property.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Federal inspectors have found numerous problems at a northern Idaho sprouts grower linked to a recent E. coli outbreak. U.S. Food and Drug Administration inspectors found rusty and corroded watering systems and corroded implements used in growing and harvesting sprouts at Evergreen Fresh Sprouts LLC of Moyie Springs, Idaho. The FDA determined that the grower supplied sprouts to seven restaurants where nine of 17 infected persons had eaten before they became ill.

RIGGINS, Idaho (AP) — Three of four rafters flipped into the Salmon River at Lake Creek Rapids made it back to the boat but a fourth rafter swept downstream died. The Idaho County Sheriff's Office says boaters on Tuesday pulled the man from the water just before noon about a mile downstream from the rapids.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Researchers in eastern Idaho plan to use unmanned robotic aircraft starting Sunday to get high-resolution digital images of sagebrush habitats and to study Pygmy rabbits. A University of Idaho ecology professor says the aerial survey work will be used for land management and management of wildlife populations.
