LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 59-year-old employee killed after a freak accident at the MGM Grand casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Clark County coroner's officials say Las Vegas resident Ricky J. Robinson died Tuesday afternoon. Fire officials say he couldn't get out of the way of a moving maintenance cart, was pushed out a third-floor window and fell to his death.

The accident is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

MGM spokesman Gordon Absher, in a statement, confirms the employee died after a fall from the third floor of the resort's conference center but did not elaborate.

He says the accident represented a "devastating loss" and the resort is cooperating with authorities.
