COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified a northern Idaho man who died in a shooting involving three Coeur d'Alene police officers.
Idaho State Police say 28-year-old Thomas White died Friday night after officers responded to a domestic dispute.
Authorities say police arrived at a residence but that one of the subjects involved in the dispute had left.
Officers set up a perimeter and found White in the backyard of an adjacent house.
Idaho State Police say that when Coeur d'Alene police made contact with White, "shots were fired and White was fatally wounded."
The officers have been placed on administrative leave. Their names haven't been released.
