SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for the individual responsible for robbing a Macy’s department store Tuesday.
Around 10:10 a.m., a white male wearing blue jeans, a dress shirt and baseball cap entered Macy’s at City Creek, 21 S. Main Street. He put several watches from the store into a plastic bag before fleeing the store, police said.
Outside of the department store, a loss prevention officer confronted the man, who produced a knife and lunged at the officer, according to police. The robber fled westbound.
Police described the slender man as being in his mid-20s, standing about 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing between 120 and 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing white tennis shoes with blue jeans, a baby blue dress shirt and dark baseball cap.
