BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Sabres have signed goalie prospect Linus Ullmark to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Sabres selected Ullmark in the sixth round of the 2012 draft. He has been playing in his native Sweden, splitting time there between MODO's junior and elite teams.
Last season, he was named the Swedish Hockey League's top goalie after finishing with a 2.08 goals-against average and a 93.1 save percentage in 35 games.
Ullmark is expected to spend this season developing with the Sabres' American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester.
The Sabres are in transition at goalie after trading Ryan Miller to the St. Louis Blues last season.
