I am looking for a resource that can tell me the average number of sunny days in a particular month in Utah. For instance, is there approximately the same number of sunny days in September as there are in May? Any help you can provide on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Utah is indeed a sunny place it seems a lot of the time! The data is readily available in places with records like Salt Lake. Hopefully this will help you out, the link is on the right.
The sky cover is measured in units of the tenth. So if 10/10 of the sky is covered it is overcast while 4/10 would be considered partly cloudy.
It's up to you whether you consider a partly cloudy day a "sunny" day. It's often fairly sunny when it's partly cloudy even though there are some clouds around.
According to these tables, Salt Lake averages 14 clear days in the month of June, 10 partly cloudy days and only 6 cloudy days.
To give you an idea of how much great weather this (if you consider sunny and partly cloudy great and cloudy kind of on the yucky side), let's look at another city. A place like Fairbanks has only 3 clear days in the month of June.
Also at the great site of weatherunderground.com you can type in your city at the top. Once you get a forecast page, scroll down to "history and almanac" there should be a link to "seasonal averages". If you go to that seasonal average page, you will find sun information in percentage. June in Salt Lake is considered "sunny" or clear (based on that about 14 days of clear). Salt Lake would then be considered sunny about 50% of the time in June.
