SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police have released surveillance video of a burglary and are asking the public's help in identifying the thief.

Detectives are investigating a series of burglaries in the downtown Salt Lake City area and they said they all have a similar method of entry. Police released the video surveillance of a burglary that occurred on Saturday around 1:30 a.m.

The video shows a man biking up to the business and then casing the area. He then throws a rock through a window, enters and steals an iPad connected to a cash register.

The man is described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a bike helmet, a blue long-sleeved shirt, khaki shorts, white socks and white Nike shoes. He was riding a mountain bike at the time of the burglary.
