Online Colleges Recognized as Best for 2014

CHICAGO, April 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TheBestSchools.org, a leading

resource for higher education, has released its ranking of "The 30

best online colleges for 2014." James Barham, general editor of

TheBestSchools.org, stated, "Other 'best online college lists' exist

on the Web, but our carefully researched selection of prominent public

and private universities offering online degrees distinguishes our

ranking."

Barham also remarked, "Some of the schools in our ranking may surprise

visitors, such as the University of Florida Distance Learning at #2.

Most people don't realize the University of Florida, highly regarded

for its campus-based programs, has a substantial offering of online

degree programs, especially online master's degrees."

Numerous schools expressed their appreciation for being included in

the list. Darcy Tannehill, Vice President of online and off-campus

programs at Robert Morris University (RMU) stated, "We are pleased and

excited to be named as one of the best online colleges for 2014."

Penn State University, ranked #1 on the list, references
