NEW YORK (AP) — Paul Pierce has become the 18th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 points.
Pierce reached the milestone on a 3-pointer with 3:10 remaining in the first half of Brooklyn's game against Atlanta on Friday. He became the fourth active player, and second on the Nets, in the 25,000-point club.
Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and longtime teammate Kevin Garnett already have 25,000 points.
Pierce came in averaging 13.5 points in his first season with the Nets.
