CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals added to their defensive line depth on Friday by signing free agent Sam Montgomery, an end who was Houston's third-round pick last year.
Montgomery was listed as a linebacker by the Texans. He was inactive for the first seven games and was waived on Oct. 22. Oakland signed him to the practice squad in December.
The 6-foot-3, 262-pound lineman played three seasons at LSU, getting 19 sacks during his career. He helped the Tigers reach the 2011 national title game, won by Alabama.
