BLACKFOOT, Idaho (AP) — A 23-year-old southeastern Idaho woman who stabbed to death a 21-year-old man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Sheree Moreno of Blackfoot received the sentence Tuesday in 7th District Court. She must serve at least 15 years before becoming eligible for parole.
Moreno in January pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime.
Prosecutors say Moreno in November stabbed Salvador Valerio of Blackfoot seven times, severing the femoral artery in his leg.
