(KSL News) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents raided a hotel in Midvale. Now, five people are in custody.

The agents, along with police officers from Midvale and South Jordan, seized dozens of fake ID cards, counterfeit business checks, and other falsified documents. They also seized more than $38,000 in cash, several computers with printers and two vehicles.

Last week, officers responded to reports of a fraudulent check at a local check cashing business. The subsequent investigation led them to the Midvale hotel where they arrested Dennis Real, Elana Guadalupe-Cruz, Tomasa Nava-Ayala, Roman Gabriel and Marco Nava-Ayala.

All are being held in the Salt Lake County Jail.

ICE officers were able to determine four of the five people taken into custody were illegal immigrants. The fifth person's status is still in question.
