SALT LAKE CITY — “The Biggest Loser,” the reality TV show that helps contestants shed hundreds of pounds each season, is coming to Utah.
In an open casting call, scheduled for Saturday, April 19, directors will be seeking families of four or more, former athletes (high school, college or pro) and individuals who have at least 100 lbs to lose.
Those wanting to become one of the Biggest Losers should pre-register online and check the requirements and recommendations for the open casting call. Potential contestants will be interviewed in groups.
Winners will receive, beyond the satisfaction of achieving their goal, $250,000. The show requires about five months of commitment with rigorous exercise and diet routines being the focus of participants.
Utah is also the home of one of the Biggest Loser’s fitness resorts. If you’re looking for a slightly less intense version of treating yourself, the resort offers a structured program for weight-loss participants, with hikes, swimming and downtime spent at a spa.
