SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 2, 2014--Civil Service Employees Insurance Group (CSE Insurance,) will hold their third annual Blazing Hot Firefighter Competition charity event on Saturday, April 12 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The competition takes place at Butterfly Restaurant at Pier 33 in San Francisco where firefighters and celebrity chefs will team up in a contest to create the Bay’s best slider. Liam Mayclem, host of KPIX-TV’s Eye on the Bay and KCBS Radio’s Foodie Chap will emcee the event for the third year.
This annual event brings together firefighters, local celebrities, and popular chefs while raising money for firefighters and their families. The event is open to the public and donations may be made on the day of event at the door. More than $20,000 in charitable funds on behalf of CSE and Firefighter Insurance Services (FIS) will be given away this year! The prizes are:
1st place - $5,000 2nd place - $1,500 3rd place - $1,000 4th place - All “boot” donations made day of event at the door (more than $500 last year!) In addition, CSE and FIS will also make a $12,500 donation to the Fire Family Foundation ( http://firefamilyfoundation.org ), a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded by Los Angeles Firemen’s Credit Union to assist our firefighters and their families, victims of fire-related incidents, and fire departments within the state of California.
