(KSL News) A new ordinance involving snow removal in one community will go into place just in time for spring.

In January we brought you a story on how Cottonwood Heights residents were required to clear snow from their sidewalks within an hour of when it fell. If snow fell overnight, residents had until 8:00 the next morning.

The Deseret Morning News reports the Cottonwood Heights City Council took a vote, and residents now have 24 hours to clean up their snow.
