HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A new report says revenue growth at Indian casinos in the U.S was outpaced in 2012 by commercial casinos, racinos and tribal casinos' past performance. Casino City's Indian Gaming Industry Report released today said the weak economy also slowed tribal gambling revenue. Still, a 2 percent rise, to $28.1 billion, brought Indian casino revenue to an all-time high.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A federal judge in Boise says an FBI agent lied under oath as she testified in the fraud and money laundering trial involving failed real estate company DBSI, hours before she committed suicide. The judge said Rebekah Morse sent text messages while testifying even though she denied having done so.
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Coeur d'Alene city council members are considering an end to a local ordinance banning weapons from parades and festivals. The law was enacted years ago when Aryan Nations members used to march annually. The Coeur d'Alene Press reports council members are asking the city attorney's office review the constitutionality of the law.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho no longer holds the dubious distinction of the state with the highest share of workers earning the minimum wage. The Gem State slipped to the No. 2 spot in 2013 as workers making the nationally-mandated minimum, behind Tennessee. Two of every three jobs created in Idaho last year were in the service industry, work that typically pays less.
